AFREA web site

The new AFREA web site has now been live for a year and comments in general have been very positive with regard to its new design, content management and dedicated user applications. We continually monitor use of the site and analyze usage detail provided by Google Analytics. Registration to the secure log in area for AFREA staff, AFREA Board of Directors, REA Directors and REA Managers has been slow but steady. As we continue to work together, though, the opportunity and content for sharing will grow. The AFREA uses the internal aspects of the web site for meeting preparation - minutes, reports and other documents for each board meeting are posted to the site for the Directors to review prior to each monthly meeting. This is the initial steps to "paperless" board meetings as we can also project the web site content on an overhead during the actual meeting cutting down on the amount of printing necessary to carry out business. At this time, we still print the documents as the progression to "paperless" continues.

 At the recent 2010 AGM & Conference the web site was featured at our trade booth. A power point presentation provided site details on features that might be beneficial to all users. A handout of the presentation was also made available to conference participants who visited our display. It is important to know that the AFREA proudly promotes all member REAs on this site.
