MSA - Market Surveillance Administrator

A statutory corporation established by the Electric Utilities Act, appointed by the Minister of Energy. The MSA is in place to monitor Alberta's electricity and natural gas markets for fairness and balance in the public interest. Market Surveillance keeps a close watch on the overall performance of Alberta's electricity and natural gas markets - checking that they operate in a fair, efficient, and openly competitive manner.
